Hazrat Khawaja Ahmed Meervi Chishti Nizamiعلیہ الرّحمہ
Name and Lineage:
His nameis‘AHMED MEERVI’ and his father’s name is‘Muhammad Barkhurdar’who was a Mureed of Hazrat Suleman Taunsvi رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰ علیہand quite often,he would go to Astana-e-Murshid. As usual, while returning from Taunsa,he passed away at Mangroththat isatown in a westward direction, 5 kilometers away from Taunsaand he was buried there in the Jama Masjid Baloch Khanan. He was belonged to the Khokhar Awan tribe.
Date of Birth:
He was born atKohistan an area of Baluchistan in 1250 AH/ 1834 AD.
Acquisition of Knowledge:
He learnedrecitingthe Holy Quran from his respected father. After the demise of his respected father, his uncle Ali Khan took the responsibility of his training and support. Ali Khan was also a Mureed of Suleman Taunsvi رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ. Therefore, his uncle admitted him in that Astana and he remained busy in getting current knowledge of that time for 9 years. After graduating from there, he went to Multan and got the beneficence from the Scholars of there. But soon, he became the disciple of Maulana Mamluk Aliرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ.
Allegiance and Caliphate (Khilafat):
He took an oath of the allegiance on the blessed hand of Hazrat Khawaja Shah Muhammad Suleman Taunsvi رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہand he was grantedthe Khilafat by Khwaja Sahibرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ .Hazrat Khwaja Shah Allah Bakhsh Taunsvi and Khwaja Muhammad Fazil Shah رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیھما also awarded him the Khilafat.
Character and Peculiarities:
He was counted in the renowned Kulafa of Taunsvi. He got all the Islamic sciences and arts from the institute of Khwaja Taunsviرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ . Along with education, he paid the special attention towards the mystical exercise. After graduating, he went to Kashmir, Ajmer, Pakpattan, Lahore, Multan, Delhi, and Kaliyar Shareeffor tourism for seven years and then, he came to Taunsa Sharif. Once again, he went for sightseeing.When he got at ‘Mira’ a town of Attock district, Pindighep, he felt the great calm from there and then, he permanently settled there. First of all, he established an institute there and the desirous of knowledge began to come here from the remote areas. The dignity of that area enhanced due to the construction of Masjid and Khanqah and the blessings of Islam spreadeverywhere.They were Allah’s friends جل جلالہ و صلی اللہ تعالٰی علیہ وسلم who went wherever,they would increase the beauty of Islam and made the people a Namazi and the Ghazi. He got Masajid, Madaris and innsconstructedaround the area for the passengers. A large number of people got the beneficence from him. He would always offer the prayers of five times with congregation and emphasize the people to act upon the Sunnahs of the Holy Prophetصلی اللہ تعالٰی علیہ وسلم . Never did he take revenge with his opponents.
Special Relation with the Tajdar-e-Golra:
He had a very close relationship with Hazrat Peer Mehar Ali رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ.They used to contact mutually and they had the correspondent relation to each other.In a pleasant mood, Hazrat Peer Mehar Aliرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ called him ‘Laalu during conversing,that is a synonym of ‘brother’ in Panjabi language. Once or twice, he came to Golra Sharif. (Mehr-e-Muneer, P. 404)
He was a true believer and the true speaker.He was the severe opponent of the British government. He used to say, that Englishmen and their followers are the enemy of Islam and Muslims and he would openly oppose their civilization.
He passed away on 5th Muharram-ul-Haram, 1330 AH/ 27 December, 1911 AD and his blessed Shrine is the resort of all at Mira Sharif Pindighep Tehsil (Attock district Panjab, Pakistan).
