Once, Hazrat Baba Fareed Ganj-e-Shakarرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ expressed his desire to listen a ‘Qawwali or Naat but coincidentally, there was no Qawwal and Naat reciter at that time so Khawaja Sahib said to Sheikh Badruddin Ishaqرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیھما bring the letter which Qazi Hameeduddin Nagoriرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ wrote to me. Therefore, Hazrat Badruddin Ishaqرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ went to a room and he brought a bag full of letters in front of Baba Sahibرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ . Then, he put his hand into that bag and first of all, the letter of Qazi Hameeduddin Nagori رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ came in his hand and he presented it to Khawaja Sahibرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ . Afterwards Khawaja Sahibرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ said to Sheikh Badruddin رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ, stand up and read it. Therefore, he started reading. It was written in this letter that “I am the servant and slave of Dervishes and I rub the dust of their feet onto my head and eyes as blessing.” Hazrat Sheikh Badruddinرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ had just read that much letter that Sheikh Fareeduddinعلیہ الرّحمہ went into rapture state. Then, following quatrain was read:
آں عقل کجا کہ درکمال تو رَسد
Translation: “From where should I get the wisdom? that can reach the depth of your perfection and from what place should I bring the spirit? that can find the reality of your glory. I understand well that you have raised up the curtain from your beauty but from where do I get the eyes? that can see your beauty.”
Once Qazi Hameeduddinرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ was performing Tawaf. He saw a Saint who was performing Tawaf too. He began to walk step by step along with that Saint so he said, Hameeduddin (رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ)! apparent obedience is very easy thing to follow but inward obedience is very difficult so he made a request for explaining the inward obedience. The Saint said, I finish the Holy Quran on each step while performing Tawaf. If you want to follow me, do the same. Hazrat Qazi was surprised at heart. Then, he thought! maybe this Saint would bring the meaning of the Holy Quran in his heart and he gives it the name of finishing the Holy Quran. That Saint knew his heart’s talk and said, no! I recite the holy Quran word to word with Arabic pronunciation from start to end. (as miracle)
