Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Wasee Ahmad Muhaddith Suratiرَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ
He was born in Rander, Surat district India in 1252 A.H. / 1836 A.D. He got his primary education from his respected father Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Surati son of Maulana Muhammad Tahir Surati.
Beginning of the Education:
He stayed at Masjid-e-Fatehpur in Delhi. Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Masood Muhaddith Dehlavi رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ was busy in teaching at that time. On his advice, he took the admission in Madrasa-e-Husayn Bakhsh and he acquired the education of Arabic grammar, exegesis, translation and other Quranic Knowledge from the Scholars. A year later, he took the admission in Madrasa-e-Faiz-e-Aam Kanpur in 1279 A.H. and he graduated in all the Islamic Sciences.
Allegiance (بَیْعَت) and Caliphate (خلافت):
During education, He became the disciple of Uwais-e-Dauraan (Uwais of the time) Hazrat Shah Fazl-e- Rahman Ganj Muradabadi (died in 1313 A.H.) رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ. After completion of the mystic exercise, he got the caliphate (khilaafat). Meanwhile, he secured the relations with Ala Hazrat Maulana Ahmad Raza Khan رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ.
He passed away on Wednesday at Pilibhit, in 8 Jamadi-ul-Awwal 1334 A.H / 12 April 1916 A.D.
Date of Demise:
Ala Hazrat Maulana Shah Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ derived the date of demise from the following Aayat of the Holy Quran.
