Character and Peculiarities:

He was the benefactor of Hind. The charming beauty of Islam in subcontinent was the result of his preaching and guidance. When his Khulafa and devotees went to any region of Hind, there Islam went on spreading. The light of guidance kept on expanding and the gloom of infidelity went on dispersing. For the first time, the flag of Muslim government waved in the house of Delhi and Ajmer through his miracles and effective beneficence.

The author of ‘Sair-ul-Auliya’ wrote:

“Disbelief and idolatry custom was found throughout India before his arrival of India. Every rebellious of Hind used to claim of ‘اَنَا رَبُّکُمُ الْاَعْلٰی’. He would say the partner of Almighty Allah to himself. People of that time would prostrate to stone, clod, home, tree, cattle, cow and their dung as well and lock of their hearts were getting stronger from the darkness of incredulity. The darkness of that country lit up from the Noor (light) of Islam by the blessing of the blessed feet of this sun of believers, in fact that was Moinuddinرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ . (Seerat-ul-Auliya, p.47)

He used to look at whomever by his saintly eyes, so the heart condition of that person would change. Highway robber would become guider and murderer would become protector. Similarly, rebellious person would become slave and disbeliever would become Muslim. Likewise, transgressor would become pious man and enemy would become friend. Correspondingly, magician would become ‘Amil-e-Quran’ (who acts upon the Holy Quran).

It is written in the magazine with the title of ‘Ahwal-e-Peeran-e-Chist’:

“نظر شیخ معین الدّین بر فاسق کہ افتادے درزبان تائب شدے، بازد  گر معصیت نہ کردے”

Hazrat Khwajah Moinuddin Chistiرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ  used to look at someone, then that person would repent from his sins at the same time and he would never do it again.

Allama Hasan Raza Barelvi رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ said,

خفتگانِ شبِ غفلت کو جگا دیتا ہے   سالہا سال وہ راتوں کو نہ سونا تیرا

Hazrat Sultan-ul-Hindرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ  undoubtedly started a campaign in India for eliminating the incredulity. This silent and moral movement of an Arif Billah performed such job that thousands of swords could not be able to do it. Eventually, Hindustan became ‘Dar-ul-Islam’ by his efforts.

He passed away in 6 Rajab-ul-Murajjab 633 AH/ 1229 AD. The Naqsh-e-Jameel appeared on his forehead at the time of demise “ھذا حبیب اللہ مات فی حب اللہ”. (Akhbar-ul-Akhyaar, p.66)

His Shrine is in Ajmer Sharif (India) that is the resort for all.
