Mohib-bun-Nabi(the lover of the Holy Prophetصلی اللہ تعالٰی علیہ وسلم) Hazrat Maulana Shah Fakhr-ud-Din Fakhr-e-Jahan Dehlviرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ
Name and Lineage:
His name is Fakhr-ud-Din and title is Mohibb-un-Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. He was the blessed son of Burhan-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Maulana Shah Nizam-ud-Din Aurangabadi, Chishti, Nizamiرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ . His genealogy is connected to Hazrat Sayyiduna Siddeeq-e-Akbar رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ for the connection of Sheikh-ush-Shuyookh Sheikh Shihab-ud-Din Sohrawardiرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ . His respected mother was from the family of Hazrat Gaisu Darazرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ .
Date of Birth:
He was born in Aurangabad (India) in 1126 AH/ 1717 AD.
Acquisition of Knowledge:
He received the education from the beginning to the main books of the different knowledge from his respected father. Later on, on the order of Shah Kaleemullah Shah Jahanabadiرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ, he completed the Islamic sciences and arts from the expert and renowned Scholars of that time, Mian Muhammad Jaan, Maulana Abdul Hakeem and the renowned Muhaddith of Deccan, Maulana Hafiz As’ad-ul-Ansari Al-Makkiعلیھم الرّحمۃ etc.
Allegiance and Caliphate (Khilafat):
He got the caliphate (khilafat) from his respected father Hazrat Shah Nizam-ud-Dinرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ at the age of sixteen years.
Character and Peculiarities:
On the occasion of his birth, Hazrat Shah Kaleemullah Dehlvi gave the good news in the following words:
“This newborn child will light the candle of guidance, by which the heart and mind of the creature will enlighten and garden of the Shariah and Tariqah will have the spring weather again. This child will be proud of the religion. Name him ‘Fakhr-ud-Din (the pride of religion).”
Really, that newborn child proved to be a pride of religion and world of the future. He was a confluence of the Shariat and Tariqat.
Shah Sahib established a Madrasah in Delhi. He did not only suffice to teach but also he flowed those rivers of facts and knowledge, according to saying of the author of ‘Manaqib-e-Fakhriah’ that he enlightened the lamp of mysticism again, like the epoch of Hazrat Mahboob-e-Ilaahiرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ and the hearts and minds were fulfilled with the treasure of facts. Those who were asleep waked up; the unconscious came to his senses, dead hearts were alive, alive hearts became the lovers, love’s soul of Almighty Allah was hot, the river of passion and fervor billowed out, and the bowls were filled with the anxiety of hearts and the tears of eyes. Whoever came to his ‘Khanqah’ (monastery), he could not leave without inspiring. Criminals would come to his Khanqah and they returned back after becoming perfect Wali. He was the perfect personification of the Sunnah. He would great emphasize on acting upon the Sunnah. He would instruct to his devotees to stick on the sect of Hanafi firmly and frequently refer to the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He would treat well with every younger and elder. He had very humble nature. When someone stood up for his respect, so he would stop him. He would stand up himself for the respect of every younger and elder. He would participate in the happy and sorrowful ceremonies of people. He always offered prayers with congregation and he also strictly instructed to his devotees to do so.
He passed away at the age of seventy three years in 28 Jamadi-ul-Akhir 1199 AH/ 1784 AD. His Shrine is the resort of all in Delhi (India).
