Character and Peculiarities:
He was a Sultan of poets, the argument of Scholars, unprecedented and unique personality in the oratory and poetry. He was the one of chosen personality of the both worlds of humankind. He got such an unique expertise in wording of the prose and poetry that never was it given to any ancient and modern writer before. He composed his poetry in Isfahani style and manner as per directive of his Peer-o-Murshid. He was well aware of the knowledge and grace and he was granted the attributes of Dervish and their practice as well. Although, he had the relations with empires and rich people as the pleasure and humor but he did not incline to all of them by heart. This is a clear proof of that, those blessings are found in his couplets and words, that is all the beneficence of Mashaikh.علیھم الرّحمہ because, the heart of transgressors and libertines are deprived from such blessings and their words do not get the acceptance and hearty effectiveness.
He used to recite seven Paras of the Holy Quran in Tahjjud prayer every night. One day, Sheikh Nizamuddin Auliyaعلیہ الرّحمہ asked him O, Turkish! What about your hobbies recently? He requested O Sayyidi! Quite often, the groaning and weeping status remains dominant. Sheikh Said, by the grace of Almighty Allah! Some effects are showing. He had the great respect and love with Sheikh Nizamuddin Auliyaرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ and Sheikh Sahib was also very kind with him as well as he would highly favor him. Nobody had not such secrecy and closeness in the service and auspicious court of Sheikh Nizamuddin Auliyaرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ as it Ameer Khusro had.
Author of ‘Sair-ul-Auliya’ said about him, once Sheikh Nizamuddin Auliyaرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ said by paying attention towards him, I get fed up with whole world but I would not get fed up with Ameer Khusro. Even Sheikh Sahib رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ promised him by knowing the omnipresent and omniscient to Almighty Allah, when I go to Heaven, then I will also carry him along with me.
Khalifa of Ala Hazrat Syed Suleman Sharaf Bihariعلیھمَ الرّحمہ said, Ameer Khusro رحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ was granted the comprehensiveness by the fountainhead of bounty that such example of blessings are few and rare in the pages of history. His personality is unprecedented proud and honored specially in the land of Hind and his personality is prominent in the row of expert people. “If you take a look at him as a status of Sufi, he appears annihilation in Almighty Allah, similarly, if you take a look at him as the status of Nadeem (a boon companion), he seems Aristotle of time; look at him as the status of Scholar, he sees the great Scholar; look at him as the status of mystic chorus, he realizes the head of that field; look at him as the status of historian, he looks like an unique researcher; look at him as the status of poet, he looks like the master of poets etc.” All his perfections are so wide that a lengthy explanation is required in its statement. It is true that: “لیس علی اللہ بمستنگر۔ ان یجمع العالم فی واحد”. (Preface, Masnavi Hasht Bahisht, P.61)
He passed away in 18 Shawwal-ul-Mukarram, 725 AH/ October, 1325 AD and his Shrine is next to Hazrat Mahboob-e-Ilahiرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ in Delhi, India.
