As a relic, the English translation of the same words of Ala Hazratرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ ’s letter are as follows:
“Maulana Maulvi Muhammad Zafar-ud-Deen Sahib Qadiri سَلَّمَہٗis one of the dearest students of Manzar-e-Islam and he is dear to me. After primary books, He continued his study here; and now, for many years he has been working here, at my Madrasah as a Mudarris (teacher); and in addition to that, he is my assistant in working of ifta (giving shara’i verdict/ fatwa). I do not say that all the applications which have been received, it is the best among all, but I would say that, he is absolutely right in the doctrines and true guide too. By the grace of Almighty Allah, he is not weak in normal syllabus. He is a Mufti, writer and orator. By the help of Allah, he can debate and in the contemporary Scholars, he is only aware of science of Tauqeet.
Imam Ibn-e-Hajar Makkiرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ has mentioned this science as a “Fardh-e-Kifaya” in his book “Zawajir”. Now this science it has been vanished from the Scholars, all the Muslims of India and all from the world.
I revived this science with the help of Almighty Allah, and wanted to prepare seven persons, but (unfortunately) some of them passed away, most of them left it due to its complexity. He learned this science as much as sufficient and now here, he prepares timetables of sunrise, sunset and midday for every day and date; he prepares all the timetables (relating to fasts) of the holy month of Ramzan too. By sacrificing to your Madrasa on myself and offer him to you.” Imam Ahmad Razaرحمۃ اللہ تعالٰی علیہ composed the following couplet about him:
میرے ظفر کو اپنی ظفر دے اس سے شکستیں کھاتے یہ ہیں
On the night of Monday, on 19th Jamadi-us-Thani 1382 AH/ 18th November 1962 AH, during reciting the Zikr of Allah loudly, he passed away.
